A few weeks ago, Lindsay Lohan had 90 days in rehab standing between her and freedom. ?Fuck this,? she said, and then promptly tricked the doctors into letting her go 68 days early. Then of course she did some more coke, and now rehab might be the only thing keeping her out [...]
‘Mike has legs, so does a chair — it doesn’t mean the chair can dance, right?’ ‘Jersey Shore’ castmate quips.By Eric Ditzian

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino barely escaped with his reality-show life Tuesday evening on “Dancing With the Stars.” Only Michael Bolton and his gangly jive saved Sitch’s hide from elimination, as the “Jersey Shore” star will live to toe-tap another week.
Perhaps the Situation has one of his castmates to thank, because Ronnie has vowed to vote for his roommate — regardless of his actual dancing talents.
“I’m going to support him in every way,” Ronnie told MTV News. “I’m going to send him a text, the vote text. I’ll vote for Mike.
“I’ll send, like, three texts — it’s like $1.50,” he added with a sly smile. “How much you really want me to spend on you, Mike?”
On second thought, the Situation might want to hold off on a thank-you and tell Ronnie to start texting votes with the same enthusiasm he reserved for flirting with Jell-O-shot-serving waitresses early this season on “Shore.” But Ronnie might not be so convinced Mike has what it takes to win “DWTS.”
“Mike has legs, so does a chair — it doesn’t mean the chair can dance, right?” Ronnie reasoned.
Ouch. Ronnie’s off-and-on gal pal Sammi was considerably more kind when we asked her about the Situation’s skills. “He can’t really dance, but I know he can fist-pump,” she said during an earlier interview.
“We’ll support him,” Vinny told us.
And that’s exactly what Ronnie made clear to us too. After all the good-natured razzing he threw the Situation’s way, he told us he’ll be pulling for his roomie to win.
“I know he’s going to try his best and do the best of his ability, and he’s going to represent the ‘Jersey Shore’ family,” he said.
Are you rooting for the Situation on “Dancing With the Stars”? Let us know in the comments!
Don’t miss “Jersey Shore” every Thursday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

‘It was a moment in history,’ he tells Mixtape Daily of watching Ms. Minaj at work.By Shaheem Reid

In Rick Ross’ mind, Nicki Minaj graduated when she worked with the man behind the album Graduation.
The Bawse said he was amazed not only seeing Nicki compose her raps, but also get on the mic and tear the booth down for the Kanye West posse cut “Monster.”
“It was a moment in history,” he said. “I knew then she’s one of the greatest.
“I was actually in the studio with Kanye in Hawaii when he played the concept for me,” Ross recalled. “I was blown away. I had the opportunity to sit in the studio while Nicki wrote her verse just off the record. That was when she earned my respect as a lyricist. She was a dope entertainer up until that day that I sat in the studio and watched her come up with what I feel is one of the dopest verses of the year.”
If you’re getting your late pass right now, “Monster” was released a few weeks back as part of Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Friday offering of free music to the people. The track also features Jay-Z, Bon Iver, Charlie Wilson and Ross himself.
“OK, first things first, I’ll eat your brains/ Then I’mma start rocking gold teeth and fangs,” Nicki raps on the song/ ” ‘Cause that’s what a mutha—-ing monster do/ Hairdresser from Milan, that’s the monster ‘do/ Monster Giuseppe heel, that’s the monster shoe/ Young Money is the roster and the monster crew.”
“To see her construct her verse and lay it — she did it herself — I commend her,” Ross added.
Ross’ time on the track was limited, but Ricky Rozay said he wasn’t slated to be on the song in the first place.
“I wasn’t originally supposed to be on the record. I was next door working on another Kanye collaboration,” the Miami native said. “I walked in, like, ‘This is so big.’ [Kanye] was like, ‘Yeah.’ He was playing the track, spitting his verse for me. That’s before he even laid it. I’m like, ‘That’s dangerous.’ At the same time, me being a hustler, I’m thinking of just an intro for the record. He told me the structure and the way he wanted it to go. I told him that was it. That’s the way I would do it. He was on point with it. Me being the artist I am, I was sitting there talking to him and came up with an intro bridge. It wasn’t a verse at all. It was just an intro or somewhat of a bridge to set the tone for ‘Ye to come in. Jay capped it off.”

‘You need a little bit extra when you’re up in the club sometimes,’ singer says.By Akshay Bhansali, with reporting by Audrey Kim

“I was so excited to see deadmau5 onstage at the VMAs,” Katy Perry gushed to MTV News at her former high school in Santa Barbara, California, on Tuesday. “He’s the coolest. It’s like we are living in the future. It’s very ‘Blade Runner.’ I want Deadmau5 to come hang out with me, but still wear that head.”
But while last Sunday may have been Perry’s first opportunity to catch Joel Zimmerman (deadmau5′s born name) performing for the first time, she seems well aware of dance music’s current favor in pop music. Nestled among the tracks that make up the deluxe version of Teenage Dream are two remixes of “California Gurls” by Passion Pit and MSTRKFT, a mix of “Peacock” by Cory Enemy and Mia Moretti, and a club mix of “Teenage Dream” by Chicago dance music producer Kaskade. Perry went on to explain why she chose to have four electronic dance mixes on her latest effort.
“I love really good remixes, and I think they did a fantastic job with mine,” Perry said. “I think you need a little bit extra when you’re up in the club sometimes. And they definitely gave me that little bit extra.
“Kaskade’s work was fantastic!” she added. “That’s why I put out the song with the remix.”
Fans can catch Kaskade and Deadmau5 at the Voodoo Music Experience, along with with Drake, Muse, Weezer, Afrojack, Paul van Dyk and the Crookers, and many others in New Orleans from October 29-31.
