What will Britney Spears look like in the video for her smash hit “Hold It Against Me”? Well, the singer gave fans a sneak peek over the weekend when she tweeted a photo of herself on set.
In the lo-res pic, Spears is shown from the shoulders up, standing with her back to the camera and her face turned toward it. The singer is in a red outfit and surrounded by a wreath of microphones.
On Saturday, she tweeted, “Day 1 of the HIAM shoot with [director] Jonas Akerlund. Such an incredible experience. I think this will be one of the best videos I have ever done.” On Sunday, the same day the photo was taken she wrote, “Day 2 is a wrap! #HIAM video coming soon….”
Choreographer Brian Friedman also kept fans updated on the video shoot via Twitter throughout the weekend. “Good luck 2 @britneyspears and all of my incredible dancers,” he wrote on Saturday. “You all have surpassed my expectations and I am so thankful for ur hard work!”
And on Sunday, he continued the praise, tweeting, “What a fabulous day on set of HIAM! @britneyspears killed it! She danced her ass off! Great work 2 my dancers too… Y’all slayed!”
Meanwhile, fansite Breatheheavy.com reportedly obtained a call sheet for the video, which revealed that the video was shot at Paramount Studios. The sheet also indicates that sometime Lady Gaga stylist B Akerlund designed the costumes for the video and that “Project Runway” hairstylist Philip Carreon worked on the shoot.

James Franco may very well be Hollywood’s ultimate Renaissance man. In addition to his already busy 2011 schedule, which includes attending the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, both as first-time host and Best Actor nominee (for “127 Hours”), the actor/writer/student will also tackle directing duties.
Over the weekend, MTV News managed to catch a minute with Franco at the Sundance Film Festival, where he revealed to us yet another impressive future endeavor. The star spilled, “This summer I’m going to direct a movie based on William Faulkner’s novel ‘As I Lay Dying.’ ”
Franco, who has in the past done some work behind the camera, explained, “I shoot a test of the whole movie before I make a movie. So we just shot a test.”
Despite working from a lengthy script (160 pages, to be exact), Franco did an entire pre-shoot with actors in North Carolina on New Year’s Day. And in keeping with his already unorthodox methods, the 32-year-old noted that the actors he used for the test filming won’t necessarily be the ones he works with on the final product.
While Franco says he “might” appear in his adaptation of “As I Lay Dying,” he has his sights set on his favorite actor, “Boardwalk Empire” and “Revolutionary Road” star Michael Shannon, whom he has worked with twice before. The cast already includes Paul Dano (“Little Miss Sunshine,” “There Will Be Blood”) and, if all works out for Franco, Richard Jenkins (“The Visitor,” “Six Feet Under”) and Joaquin Phoenix will be onboard as well.

Drummer admits he doesn’t know what will come of ‘new material.’

On Friday morning, mere hours before he was due to take the stage with classic rockers Foreigner at Detroit’s GM Renaissance Center, drummer Jason Bonham — the son of late Led Zeppelin kitman John Bonham — told Jim Johnson and Lynne Woodison of local rock station 94.7 WCSX that he’d be an ex-member of Foreigner as of September 1. But that’s not the only thing he said.
Much to the delight of Led Zeppelin fans everywhere, Bonham revealed that he’s been meeting up with Led Zep guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones in recent months and that they’ve been “trying to do some new material and writing.”
It was the first time since Led Zeppelin announced they would re-form for a single performance (which happened late last year at London’s O2 Arena, in honor of the late Ahmet Ertegün, who signed the band to Atlantic Records in 1969) that anyone connected to the band has confirmed publicly that new music could be on the horizon for the iconic rockers. While the bandmembers have stopped short of definitively ruling out such a reunion, singer Robert Plant insisted in the wake of last year’s show that he intended to focus on promoting and touring behind his critically lauded album with bluegrass artist Alison Krauss, Raising Sand.
Not that Bonham knows what — if anything — will happen with the new material he’s been working on with Page (who collaborated with pop singer Leona Lewis on an uneven version of Zep’s “Whole Lotta Love” at the Olympic closing ceremonies in Beijing on Sunday night) and Jones. He said he just shows up and takes his seat behind the kit.
“I’ve been over [to England] a couple of times,” Bonham said. “I’ve been working with Jimmy and John Paul and trying to do … some new material and some writing. I don’t know what it will be, but it will be something. At the moment, all I know is I have the great pleasure to go and jam with the two guys and start work on some material. When I get there, I never ask any questions. If I get a phone call to go and play, I enjoy every moment of it. Whatever it ends up as, to ever get a chance to jam with two people like that, it is a phenomenal thing for me. It’s my life. It’s what I’ve dreamed about doing.”
He said it’s still too early to tell what will become of these “jam” sessions, but admitted that the “possibility of doing something is in the cards. I really felt it was in the cards from the moment we walked offstage at the O2.” Bonham also explained that, before there could be a Led Zep LP, “lots of politics [would need to] get ironed out,” but added that recording with Zep is “something I’ve always wanted to do.”
Bonham noticeably didn’t mention frontman Plant’s name during the discussion. A spokesperson for Page’s management had no comment on the matter, and a spokesperson for Jones’ management could not be reached by press time.

Miley Cyrus’ parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, are reportedly selling their marital home. The singer and his wife have put their multimillion-dollar Toluca Lake, California, house on the market, according to Gossip Cop.
The couple is asking for more than $7 million for the home. The website also reports that Tish has been looking at homes in Encino since she announced her split from Billy Ray in October. The news comes at the same time it was announced that family friend Bret Michaels popped the question to longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson.
Michaels was rumored to be the cause of the split between Tish and Billy Ray as speculation swirled that he had an affair with Miley’s mom. Michaels, who recorded several songs with Miley, denied any wrongdoing.
“The answer is no,” the singer said when he appeared on “Fox & Friends.” “I’ve been friends with her family forever. … It started out with me and Miley simply working on a song together. Her mom, Tish, likes ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn,’ the first concert Miley ever saw was Poison, and so they wanted to remake it for the new record. … When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song … and that was it.”
Miley has been busy working on her latest film, “So Undercover,” and was recently spotted shopping in New Orleans during a break from filming. According to E!, the teen star was spotted at Saks Fifth Avenue with makeup artist Denika Bedrossian. The singer also reportedly added to her tattoo collection with Bedrossian.

If fans were expecting hip-hop sexpot Nicki Minaj to vamp it up in her first “Saturday Night Live” skit, they definitely got an unexpected eyeful of the rap diva being, well, super creepy.
Minaj popped up in an Andy Samberg-helmed digital short, dressed as a socially awkward, throwback nerd — big glasses, blonde ponytail and cardigan — for the ode of voyeurism “Do the Creep.”
Legendary filmmaker and kitsch enthusiast John Waters introduced the song via an old-school television screen, and Samberg, sporting a snug suit, spectacles and skinny mustache reminiscent of Waters’ signature facial fuzz, led a trio of similarly dressed crooners. The crew celebrated inappropriate peeping moments, belting, “When a fine PYT walks in front of your tree, do the creep,” and crooned about watching their parents get it on.
Nicki showed up midway through the jam in her dork garb and spit about watching guys in a locker room take it all off, rhyming that while she was “ogling … little did they know that they were modeling.” Nicki later showed off a penchant for necrophilia by trying to make out with a corpse at a funeral, and then instructed viewers on how to do properly “creep,” singing, “Get your knees flexing and your arms t-rexing.”
Minaj did show off her voluptuous side when she popped up in a fake blaxpoitation flick, “Bride of Blackenstein,” alongside Jay Pharoah as an evil scientist, Kenan Thompson as Frankenstein and host Jesse Eisenberg as the hunchbacked assistant. When the doctor unveiled his creation, she captivated the fellas with her rotund behind, as Eisenberg quipped “That’s why you had me fill those basketballs with Jell-O!” But she quickly made it clear that she has an attitude to match her assets, batting away Frankenstein’s advances with “You think you can just walk up on me and get some of this?” After she officially staked her claim to the castle and insisted her new man stay at home, the townspeople stormed the dungeon but were quickly diverted by a wiggle of Minaj’s mega-booty.
When Minaj recently spoke to MTV News about her “SNL” appearance, the native New Yorker admitted she was amped to appear on the iconic sketch show.
“Being a part of ‘Saturday Night Live’ feels absolutely incredible. I still don’t even believe it’s true, I’m not even going to believe it’s really happening until — well, I’m going to DVR it, because I can’t watch it, because I’ll be on it,” she said. “But until I see it back on DVR, I’m not even going to believe I was really on the show. This is epic, this is monumental, this is historic stuff.”
